Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your CVShot or IDShot account and what happens to your data. The apps are provided by OID4Pay B.V. (KvK 42074824, the Netherlands).

In the app

1. Open CVShot or IDShot and sign in.
2. Go to Settings and tap Delete account.
3. Confirm. Your account is deleted at once.

By email

If you can no longer use the app, email [email protected] from the email address of your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We delete the account and confirm by reply.

What is deleted

Immediately, from our live system:

• your account, email address and name;
• your sign-in identities (the link to your Google or Apple account);
• your generated photos, and any reports you made about them;
• your credit history, and any unused credits.

Selfies are never stored, so there is nothing to delete for them.

What is kept

• Purchase records. If you bought credits, we keep the record of each purchase (Google Play order id and purchase token, product, time, credits granted, and any refund) for 7 years, as Dutch tax law requires for bookkeeping. After deletion these records are no longer linked to your account.
• Backups. Encrypted backups are kept for up to 5 weeks and then overwritten, so deleted data disappears from them within that time.
